Hey, time for an update on my status! As I mentioned before, I’m trying to learn blender to replace my current software, which is from 2006 (I tried a more recent version but I didn’t like it) Blender is impressive, but hard to use! I’m inhaling every tutorial I can find and I soon ought to be able to do what I do with it just as well (Or as badly) as I used to.

In fact since it’s open source it’s given me some very interesting ideas for a real time browser based interactive animation thingie I could do.

ANYWAY, I’m still learning so I figured I’d boot up old animation master and do some animations with the existing models and assets I have, but I’m having some technical difficulties, the CD key seems to be scratched and I can’t run the bloody software on my main computer. The other PC DOES run it but there’s a graphics glitch so I can’t see the models… Typical really.

Working on the pipeline to produce 3d models that may be printed… it’s not simple because I need to convert them and then make sure they are “watertight” and manifold, basically one solid piece. Here’s a test in blender

The nice thing, once everything works and I get some figures printed is, I guess, I can actually make multiple figures in different poses since the characters are rigged to be fully poseable, you don’t see that too often.

I’m not sure what the company doing the printing would think of adult models though, but they are Dutch so they’re probably open minded…

I’ve found a service that makes 3d prints of 3d models you upload. This means I could make figures of all my 3d models, in any pose I choose. They even have a store system like cafepress so I could put a markup on them and sell them

This sounds awesome but I need to experiment, convert files, export them then pay for the test models and see what kind of quality comes out at the other end, and I’m a bit broke at the moment.

SO I’m looking for someone willing to buy a test model print. You tell me which model you want a figurine made of, what pose you want, and I’ll upload it and you can buy it without any markup (i.e. no profit for me)

The pros: A custom figurine of your choice, possibly a one off object

cons: I’m doing this to test the quality so it may look like ass, also I’d need you to provide pictures and feedback
